The PEI Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC) was successful in raising $9,972 in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation during its 2nd annual Paper Hearts campaign. The promotion ran throughout the month of February and provided the opportunity for PEILCC customers to purchase paper hearts in support of the cause.
“This year’s results are almost double the PEILCC’s campaign in 2012,” announced Robert Henderson, minister responsible for the PEILCC. “Thank you to our staff and customers for supporting this promotion again this year.”
“These funds come as welcome support toward efforts to help people in Prince Edward Island live longer fuller lives,” noted Charlotte Comrie, CEO, Heart and Stroke Foundation in PEI. “We are grateful for the support of corporate partners like the PEILCC and look forward to using these funds to fulfill our mission of reducing death and disability from heart disease and stroke.”
