Nominations are being accepted until July 15, 2016 for the annual Senior Islanders of the Year Award, says Minister of Family and Human Services Tina Mundy.
"This prestigious award is given Islanders who are recognized as leaders and mentors in our communities," said Minister Mundy. "There are so many ways that seniors enrich the lives of their friends, families and neighbours. These awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the significant contributions of Island seniors in many aspects of community life.”
Seniors can be recognized for their contributions in various areas, including: volunteerism, artistic achievement, fund raising, community participation, fitness and recreation, and other activities.
