Premier's Office
The Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad is a festival of arts and culture celebrating the contemporary imagination of Canada throughout the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games.

“Canada is proud of its cultural diversity,” said Premier Robert Ghiz. “The 2010 Cultural Olympiad is an opportunity to showcase this diversity and heighten the experience of the Olympics by displaying an array of artistic talent that is truly world class.”

In addition to the over 40 island artists performing at Atlantic Canada House, five Island groups have been chosen to take part in the 2010 Cultural Olympiad during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. They are Vishten, Lennie Gallant, Meaghan Blanchard, Two Hours Traffic and In Flight Safety.

“The chance for Island artists to participate in this program speaks highly of the calibre of artists that Prince Edward Island has,” said Premier Ghiz. “The entire world will soon become aware of our Island’s rich talent.”
