The Morell Region Community Learning Centre & CAP Site is pleased to administer the Youth of the Digital Age Program for its fourth consecutive year.
The Youth of the Digital Age Program teaches young people the skills they need to create a Web site. The young people are taught by older students, who are hired as instructors for the program. Youth of the Digital Age is offered to elementary students in grades five to eight.
"This program has proved to be a successful program as it allows students the opportunity to be exposed to innovative technology tools," said Mike Currie, Minister of Development and Technology. "It gives younger students a chance to learn useful technical capabilities, while at the same time, it creates an opportunity for older students to find employment that enhances their own IT skills."
If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact the following schools directly: West Kent Elementary School in Charlottetown, please contact Lois Adams at 368-6065 or at lmadams@edu.pe.ca; Cardigan Consolidated, please contact Marian Grant at (902) 583-8575 or at migrant@edu.pe.ca; Somerset Elementary in Kinkora, please contact Donald Mulligan at (902) 887-2505 or at mulligad@edu.pe.ca; Eastern Kings, please contact Bernadette McInnis at (902) 367-7225 or at bmmcinnis@edu.pe.ca; and St. Peter's Consolidated, please contact Eileen Higginbotham at (902) 961-7275 or at ehhigginbotham@edu.pe.ca.
