Route 15 and 220 – Construction on the intersection of Route 15 and Route 220 in Brackley is underway to realign the intersection.

Two-way, one lane traffic will be maintained, minor delays can be expected.

Work is expected to completed on August 7th, 2015.

Route 257 – The Donagh Road, Rte 257, east of the Higgins Road, will be closed to through traffic July 6 - 7, 2015. This road closure is necessary in order to perform a crosspipe installation. Detour and signage will be in place.

Milton – The Milton bridge replacement will begin on Monday, June 29. The work is expected to take 10 weeks. Detour and signage will be in place.

Souris – The Souris bridge replacement continues. Work on the approach roads will begin on July 2nd. Motorists can expect road surface changes and traffic disruptions during the work. Delays can be expected for motorists using the temporary structure, and an alternate route will be posted. It is anticipated the new bridge will be complete in August.

Inverness – The Inverness bridge replacement, on the Western Road Route 2, has begun, with a target completion date of September 8. A single lane temporary bypass road has been constructed and will be open starting July 16th. The bypass road has stop/go lights and delays can be expected.

Northam - Rte 132 - The following weight restrictions will be in effect on the Northam Bridge: 5500 kg max gross, 4500 kg max axle.

Signage will be in place.

Huntley Bridge will be open for two way traffic today July 10th at 4:00 pm.

For the week of July 13- 17 there will be periods of one-way traffic through the site (with flaggers) from 7:00am - 5:00 pm.

Souris – The Souris bridge replacement continues. Two way traffic will move from the temporary bridge onto the new bridge starting July 17th. Work continues to widen the permanent approaches to the new bridge. The traveling public could experience minor delays during this time period. Signage will be in place.

Beginning July 20, 2015

Route 2 in Marshfield - Construction on Route 2 east of the intersection with Route 25 will be underway to mill and resurface the road. Two-way, one lane traffic will be maintained, minor delays can be expected.

Construction is expected to run for 1 week

Route 5 and Route 22 in Baldwin Road - Construction on the intersection of Route 5 & 22 will be underway to construct a roundabout. Two-way, one lane traffic will be maintained on both Route 5 & 22, minor delays can be expected.

Construction is expected to run for 4 weeks

Route 2 - Carleton/Woodstock

Road resurfacing will begin on Route 2 - Carleton/Woodstock this Wednesday, July 29. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours.

The project is approximately 3.0 km in length. Delays are to be expected.

Work will continue through to Friday, August 14.

Route 220 - Hardy Mill Road

The Hardy Mill Road (Route 220) will be closed to through-traffic between Route 25 and Route 221 on July 29th and July 30th. Work is being done on a roadway culvert. A local detour will be in effect.

Route 2 - Portage

Work will begin on Monday, Augustt 17 to widen the existing roadway along Route 2 in Portage.

This work is being completed to accommodate a left turn lane from Route 2 to Route 12. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours. Delays can be expected.

Work should be complete by September 1, 2015.

Route 1 in Mount Herbert

Construction on Route 1, East of the Mount Herbert Road intersection, will begin on Wednesday, August 19. Work will be done to widen and resurface the road. Two-way, one lane traffic will be maintained, minor delays can be expected.

Construction is expected to run for 3 weeks.

Route 2 - Tignish

From August 31 until September 16, road resurfacing will be underway on Route 2 in Tignish. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours. Delays can be expected.

Route 2 - Springfield

Road resurfacing will begin on Route 2 in Springfield on Friday, September 4. Work will continue through to Friday, September 18. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours.

Route 221 - Union Road

Construction is underway on the bridge structure on the Union Rd. Work is expected to take two weeks. Local detour is in effect and traffic will be directed to the Horne Cross Road.

Warren Grove - Jewell Road

Construction is underway on the bridge structure on the Jewell Road in Warren Grove. Work is expected to take five weeks. One way traffic will be maintained.

Route 2 - Kensington/Norboro

Road resurfacing will begin on Route 2 - Kensington/Norboro, Wednesday, September 9. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours. The project is approximately 2.75 km in length. Delays are to be expected.

Work will continue through to Friday, September 25.

Route 223 - Oyster Bed

Construction will be underway on the bridge structure in Oyster Bed starting the week of September 21st. Work is expected to take last eight weeks.

Local detour is in effect and signage will be in place.

Traffic Signal Upgrade - Cornwall

On Sunday, October 11th, there will be an upgrade to the traffic signals on the intersection of Route 1 (TCH), Rte 19 (Meadowbank Rd) and Heatherway Drive in Cornwall.

The upgrade process will take place from 7:00 am and 12:00pm on Sunday. During the upgrade process, the intersection will operate as a two-way stop controlled intersection. Stop signs will be erected on the Meadowbank Rd and Heatherway Drive of the intersection.

The public is urged to exercise caution while traveling through this area.

Emyvale (Peters Road)

Work will begin on a bridge replacement on Peters Road - Route 244, Emyvale, starting Tuesday, October 13th.

Peters Road - Route 244, between the Kingston Road and Mill Road, will be closed to through traffic to complete bridge repairs. A detour will be in place.

Project will last for about 6 weeks (weather permitting).

Abram Village (Route 124)

Storm sewer and sidewalk work is taking place on Route 124 in Abram Village. One way traffic will be maintained during construction hours, with flag persons on site. Please reduce speed and be prepared to stop.

Route 4, Primrose --- Beginning Thursday, October 22, there will be a partial closing of Route 4 in Primrose while work is carried out on the road surface and shoulder.

Work will begin at the intersection of Route 4 and the Loyalist Road and proceed south for 1200 metres.

Traffic on the road will be reduced to one lane while construction activity takes place.

Construction in the area is expected to be complete by Thursday, October 29.

Northam Bridge Replacement – A detour will be in place beginning November 2 while work is carried out to replace the Northam Bridge at the intersection of Northam Road (Route 132) and MacInnis Road.

The detour is expected to be in place until December 4.

Grand Pere Point Road

A section of the Grand Pere Point Road in Cymbria will be shut down on Monday, November 2 to allow crews to install a new cross culvert.

The closure will be for one day.

The closure is approx 2.3 km East of the Route 6/ Grand Pere Point Road intersection.

Weight restrictions – Marchbank Road Bridge:

Weight restrictions are being implemented for Marchbank Road Bridge near Woodvale.

Vehicles using the bridge are now limited to a maximum gross weight of 5500 kilograms and to a limit of 4500 kilograms per axle.

Restrictions will remain in place until the bridge is replaced.

Storm Sewer Construction- Route 26:

The Town of Stratford is carrying out work on Route 26 - Georgetown Road related to construction of a storm sewer.

During the construction period, two-way, one-lane traffic will be maintained on the affected stretch of road. Minor delays can be expected.

The construction is expected to be complete by November 27.
