Trade Team PEI is hosting a market information session to highlight their upcoming mission to Philadelphia.
“The economy is our Government’s top priority,” said the Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue, Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway. “Our government’s trade investments support local companies gain the trade expertise and know-how needed to export successfully, which will in turn serve to strengthen the entire Atlantic region’s export capacity.”
The market information session will be held on February 24th at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel beginning at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will include a presentation by Mr. Paul Gillis, Consul with the Canadian Consulate Office in Philadelphia. The event will provide Island businesses with the opportunity to learn more about the multi-sector trade mission to Philadelphia and the support that will be provided to participating companies during their visit to the area from May 9 - 13, 2011.
“By helping our Island businesses explore new markets and build export strength, we are growing the provincial economy and creating opportunity for our Island workforce,” said Honourable Allan Campbell, Minister of Innovation and Advanced Learning.
Trade Team PEI, led by ACOA and Innovation PEI, plays a key role in planning activities and delivering programs that are designed to help small- and medium-sized Island businesses effectively compete as exporters.
