Tourism PEI and Holland College Provide Marketing & Media Seminar to Tourism Industry

* Tourism [to Jan 2010]
Tourism PEI and the Tourism and Hospitality Division of Holland College co-operatively organized educational seminars aimed at the tourism industry on Prince Edward Island. The seminars held at the Tourism and Culinary Centre in Charlottetown were coined, “Going Forward, Making the Most of Marketing and Media Relations,” and were well attended by tourism operators from across P.E.I. as well as students enrolled in the tourism programs of Holland College.

The full or half-day sessions provided those in attendance with expertise in the tourism field and explored ways to maximize marketing efforts and develop effective and strategic media relations.

Minister of Tourism, Philip Brown was on hand to welcome the participants and noted, “The winter months provide operators on Prince Edward Island with a chance to fine-tune their business tactics and enlighten themselves to the opportunities they may be missing.” He added, “Marketing and media relations are very important aspects of any business, and I am pleased that we can collaborate with Holland College to provide such relevant and informative sessions.”
