Technology Expert Jim Carroll Keynote Speaker At Gala Dinner

Noted author, public speaker, commentator and international expert on the Internet Jim Carroll will be the keynote speaker at the November 25 gala dinner celebrating Information Technology Week in Prince Edward Island.

The Nova Scotia native has gained a reputation for providing highly motivational, enlightening and an often hilarious and entertaining look at the impact of the "wired world" on the way we live and work. At the dinner, Mr. Carroll will share his views on the impact and opportunity of the wired world in the new millennium and will help the audience comprehend the sweeping economic and social change that is occurring all around them as the information age takes hold.

"I am convinced that those who are willing to embrace the technological change which is exploding around us will be those to survive a future world and economy which is increasingly wired together," notes Carroll. "People need to be challenged by understanding that their future careers and success depend upon their willingness to accept the emergence of the information age."

Jim Carroll is the well-known co-author of 24 books which have sold almost 650,000 copies in Canada, including the national best-selling "Canadian Internet Handbook," and is the author of the critically acclaimed book, "Surviving the Information Age," a guide to coping with the massive change occurring in the world around us as the result of technology.
