Focus on Resources, the provincial government's community outreach program on cable television, will profile Island Controls this Tuesday, March 2, on its new Team Atlantic series. Island Controls designs and manufactures industrial and marine distribution, automation, switchgear and control equipment. They will be participating in the Team Atlantic trade mission to New England this spring.
Team Atlantic, the Council of Atlantic Premier's upcoming trade mission to New England, is the focal point of the eight part series airing on the show. The series will profile some of the companies that are participating from Prince Edward Island.
The Team Atlantic mission will include the four Atlantic Premiers, along with representatives from the federal government and forty companies from across the region. The purpose of the trade mission is to establish new business partnerships, increase trade and investment, and build strategic alliances between businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and companies located in the New England region.
Focus on Resources airs every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm, immediately following the local CBC news, on Community Cable channels across the province. The show features the latest news and information on agriculture, fisheries, small business, tourism, aquaculture, forestry, the environment and the Knowledge Economy Partnership.
The first in the Team Atlantic series aired last Tuesday, February 23, and reviewed the objectives of the mission and the importance of trade to Island companies.
