Statement from Premier Robert Ghiz on the passing of Nelson Mandela

On behalf of the Government of Prince Edward Island, we pass along our condolences to the Mandela family.

Today, the world is saddened to learn of the passing of Nelson Mandela, a leader who worked tirelessly to represent the people of South Africa, and the entire world in sometimes difficult situations.

Mandela will be remembered for his wisdom, understanding and forgiveness and has left the world a far better place.
