Statement on the passing of Steven MacKinnon

Statement from Agriculture and Fisheries, J. Alan McIsaac:

"On behalf of the Province of Prince Edward Island, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Steven MacKinnon, district director of the National Farmers Union.

Throughout his life, Mr. MacKinnon showed a passion for agriculture and was a leader in environmental stewardship. He was also an innovator and among the first advocates for organic farming in Prince Edward Island.

This is a great loss for the island's agriculture industry and Mr. MacKinnon will be remembered fondly for his many contributions to the agriculture industry and our province. "
