Staff Changes in Premier's Office

Premier Pat Binns today announced the following staffing changes, effective today.

Doug MacEwen has been named Senior Policy Advisor to the Premier, replacing Patrick Dorsey who joined the staff at the Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency effective on January 2, 2007. Previously, Mr. MacEwen served as Safety Co-ordinator with Department of Transportation and Public Works.

In addition, Dennis King will assume the duties of Executive Assistant, responsible for communications and media. Mr. King is currently the Director of Communications and Executive Assistant to the Minister of Development and Technology. He will continue to serve in those capacities.

Premier Binns stated: “I am pleased to welcome Doug and Dennis to the team as we move forward. Our government’s focus has been building a strong future for Prince Edward Island and I welcome the contributions of both these individuals.”
