The following two candidates were officially nominated on Friday, October 31 for the School Trustee position for Zone Number 4 in the Eastern School District: Vimy Gregory, Murray River; Henry Somers, Brudenell.
The school trustee by-election will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 with the polling station open from 12 noon to 8 p.m. located at the Southern Kings Consolidated School, 2294 Peters Road Route 324, Peters Road.
The Zone Returning Officer for Zone 4 is Ms. Shirley B. Allen, at 47 MacLure Street, Murray River, PE C0A 1W0. Phone number is (902) 962-3381. Information for the school trustee election will be published in the Guardian newspaper and the Eastern Graphic newspaper.
Review of qualifications for electors: (1) Canadian citizen, (2) eighteen years of age or more on election day and (3) shall have been ordinarily resident in the Eastern School District, Zone Number 4, for at least six months prior to the date of the election (November 17, 2008).

Assistance will also be available from the Zone Returning Officer, Elections PEI office, the PEI Home and School Association and schools.
