The Family Motor Coach Association will be returning to PEI for another RV rally in the Summer of 2003, to be held once again at Cabot Beach Provincial Park.
In August of 2000, the Perfect Circle Chapter based out of Moncton, NB, and a member of the Family Motor Coach Association, with the assistance of PEI Provincial Parks, organized the first RV Rally at Cabot. Over 650 motorcoaches and 1,700 people made Cabot Beach Provincial Park their home for the three-day event. An additional spin-off of the event saw many of the rally delegates extend their stay following the conclusion of the rally.
Due to the overwhelming success of the 2000 Rally, the Family Motor Coach Association which is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, was eager to return to PEI and Cabot Beach Provincial Park. The organizing committee is expecting between 800 and 1,000 motorcoaches from across North America to attend the 2003 Rally.
"This Rally will be yet another large and successful event for the tourism industry and the Island economy," remarked Greg Deighan, Minister of Tourism for the Province. "I am very pleased that the group enjoyed themselves and were so pleased with the outcome of the 2000 event that they decided to organize a second Rally for 2003. We look forward to making the 2003 event even more successful than the last."
