Provincial Treasurer Rejects Claw-back Rumours

The following statement is being issued by Honourable Mitch Murphy in response to a number of media inquiries:

"The Government of Prince Edward Island wishes to clarify information circulating suggesting that it intends to ‘claw-back’ a proposed universal direct cash assistance transfer, from the Federal Government to Island families, for child care. This is absolutely not true and will not be entertained by the Government of Prince Edward Island."
