March 7, 2014 * Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal [to May 2015]The most current and detailed map of Prince Edward Island roads available is now fully interactive and available electronically, says Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Minister Robert Vessey. “Our Provincial Road Atlas is the document that government relies on to pinpoint exact locations in the province, and now an enhanced version is available online,” Minister Vessey said. “This valuable resource is completely up to date and available to anyone wanting to explore our province in this landmark year of 2014.” Based on an index grid system, the Provincial Road Atlas is similar to the popular Thomas Guide maps published in the United States. It is extremely accurate because it is produced with GIS (Geographic Information System) data from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.
