Province Restricts Vehicle Weight on Darnley Bridge

Effective immediately and until further notice, the Darnley Bridge on Route 20 in Darnley will be subject to weight restrictions. The restrictions were put in place after engineers from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal performed a review of the structure. The restriction caps the maximum gross weight at 7500 kg and the maximum axle weight at 4500 kg.

An alternate route is posted for heavier vehicles that uses Route 103 to access parts of Route 20, located north of the Darnley Bridge.
