PROVINCE LOWERS FLAGS IN HONOUR OF LONDON BOMBING VICTIMS

Premier Pat Binns expressed his sympathy to the victims and families affected by the terrorist attacks which took place earlier today in London, England.

“When horrible events like this happen, people from all walks of life, from all corners of the globe, must come together to condemn this type of terrible violence. The thoughts and prayers of Islanders today are with the people of London as they cope with this senseless tragedy,@ said Premier Binns.

Premier Binns advised that flags at all provincial buildings will be lowered to half-mast in honour of the victims of the London bombing. Additionally, arrangements will be made to have a book of condolences available next week to allow the public to express their sympathies to the families affected by these tragic events.
