Producers Elected to Commodity Boards

Murray Myles, Returning Officer for the egg, hog and dairy producers marketing boards reported the results of recent elections held to fill vacancies on these boards.

Ian McIsaac, Charlottetown District, and Randall Affleck, Summerside District, were re-elected to the Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island Board by acclamation for three year terms commencing the first meeting of the Board following the annual meeting of producers which will be held on March 23.

Donald Drake, Waterside, John Dennis, Tyne Valley andPeter Stavert, Freetown, were re-elected to the Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island Board for two year terms commencing on the first of April, 2006.

Since no nominations were received to fill vacancies on the Hog Commodity Marketing Board for Kings County and Prince County, pursuant to section 11(6) of the Hog Commodity Marketing Regulations, the incumbents, Anthony Nabuurs, Kings County, and Marc Schurman, Prince County, were considered to have been re-elected to the Hog Commodity Marketing Board for three year terms commencing on April 1, 2006.
