The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission will continue to support the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation as it enters the fourth year of the annual Island Rivers – Worth Protecting campaign.
Participating suppliers sustain this effort by donating a portion of sales from select products to further habitat restoration projects across Prince Edward Island. All funds generated through this initiative will provide financial support to several projects in various areas of the province such as the restoration of stream habitats and fish paths.
“The PEI Liquor Control Commission is pleased to continue its partnership with the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation for a fourth consecutive year,” said Robert Henderson, minister responsible for the PEI Liquor Control Commission. “The entire province benefits from the important work that is carried out through these projects.”
“This continues to be a successful relationship and we look forward to this year’s results, said Paul Michael, QC, a director of the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation. “We are pleased to provide over $70,000 in support for conservation projects in Prince Edward Island through this partnership.”
In store promotion of Island Rivers – Worth Protecting runs from October 1 through until November 18 in all 18 PEI Liquor Control Commission corporate retail outlets across the province.
