Prince Edward Island Legislative Assembly to Open November 12, 2010

Premier Robert Ghiz announced today the Fourth Session of the Sixty-third General Assembly of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island will officially open on Friday, November 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. The highlight of Opening Day will be the Speech from the Throne, to be delivered by Hon. Barbara Hagerman, Lieutenant Governor, shortly after 2 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend the opening and view the proceedings from the Public Gallery. It will also be broadcast live on Eastlink Television and streamed on the Assembly’s website at www.assembly.pe.ca.

The first day of regular Legislative Assembly business (including question period) is scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, beginning at 2 p.m.
