Honourable Philip Brown, Minister of Tourism PEI, is pleased to announce that a Committee of the Tourism Advisory Council has completed a selection process and a new tourism advertising agency has been chosen. Effective immediately, Grey Worldwide of Toronto will assist in the production and implementation of the tourism marketing program for the Province.

An extensive selection process began with an Invitation for Proposals and a short list was developed from more than 40 expressions of interest. The selection committee particularly liked Grey’s company slogan ”Simplify, Surprise, Sell” and the fresh approach and energy the agency team will commit to the account. Grey Worldwide staff will work along with the Tourism Advisory Council, Tourism PEI and the many tourism operators across the Island to bring their brand of marketing expertise to Prince Edward Island.

“Grey Worldwide provided our selection committee with an impressive presentation during the review process. We are confident they are the best match for our marketing objectives for the Island,” noted Minister Brown. “We are continually working towards building Prince Edward Island’s reputation as an exceptional vacation destination. Grey Worldwide staff will now join tourism operators and staff at Tourism PEI in those efforts. Tourism is one of the major economic generators for the economy of the Island, and Grey Worldwide will focus on the importance of an effective marketing program to entice visitors on a year-round basis.”
