February 17, 2006 Premier's OfficePremier Pat Binns today accepted the resignation of Kevin MacAdam as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture. MacAdam also transmitted to Speaker Deighan his resignation as Member of the Legislature for Morell-Fortune Bay. Kevin MacAdam is leaving provincial politics to accept a position with the Government of Canada. His resignation is effective at 5 p.m. today. “I thank Kevin for his service and wish him well as he takes on a new set of challenges. I look forward to working with Kevin in his new role,” said Premier Binns. As an interim measure, the Premier will assume the responsibilities of Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture.
