Premier Robert Ghiz welcomes announcement of appointment of Prince Edward Island’s 41st Lieutenant Governor

I am pleased with the Prime Minister's announcement that Frank Lewis will be installed as the 41st Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island. I am confident that Mr. Lewis will be an excellent Lieutenant Governor. He has always had a keen interest in Prince Edward Island and the lives of Islanders and has an admirable record of community service.

On behalf of my Government and all Islanders, I would also like to take this occasion to thank the Honourable Barbara Hagerman for her service to the Province over the past five years. She has served with distinction and has taken a great interest in her duties. In addition to carrying out her Constitutional role as the Queen’s representative in the Province, she has promoted the arts, multiculturalism, youth, and seniors and has opened up Fanningbank to Islanders.
