Premier Pat Binns is very pleased to proclaim Wednesday, November 12, 2003 as The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island Day. The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island is celebrating its 10th anniversary improving the quality of life in Island communities through the making of grants to charitable organizations.
Premier Pat Binns stated, "I am pleased to proclaim November 12, 2003 as The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island Day in recognition of the wonderful and important work this organization does to help raise necessary funds for projects across the province."

"Our organization has worked in communities across the province since 1993 in an attempt to improve the quality of life of Islanders through a variety of programs and fundraising opportunities."
The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island is a vehicle for donors to meet their charitable interest at a minimum cost and maximum convenience. Community foundations have been established in 131 communities in Canada while the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island began in 1993 and has grown year after year assisting and showing compassion to Islanders of all ages.
