Premier Pleased to See Local CBC News Program Return to One Hour Broadcast

Premier Pat Binns offered his congratulations and best wishes to the staff of CBC Television PEI, as the daily supper time news cast returns to one hour beginning this evening at 6 p.m.

“The supper time newscast that we know best as Compass has become a tradition in homes throughout Prince Edward Island and the return to one hour programming is very welcome news for all Islanders,” said Premier Pat Binns.

“On behalf of all Islanders, I wish the best of luck to host Bruce Rainnie, Kevin “Boomer” Gallant and all the people in front and behind the cameras of CBC TV.”
