Premier's Office
Premier Catherine Callbeck said she joins many other Islanders as they mourn the loss of one of our extraordinary and distinguished citizens, Dr. Iphigenie Arsenault.

Dr. Arsenault's commitment to the people of Prince Edward Island was well demonstrated through her untiring work with the Canadian Red Cross both on and off the Island. Island service clubs recognized her community work with the Paul Harris Award, presented by the Charlottetown Rotary Club and the Peace Medal awarded by the YMCA.

Iphigenie Arsenault's caring manner and dedication to improving the quality of life for Islanders were demonstrated through her involvement with a wide variety of organizations such as: charter member and Past President of the Charlottetown Business and Professional Women's Club, Past President of the Business and Professional Women's Clubs of PEI, the Girl Guides of Canada, the Children of Mary, the Catholic Women's League, The Charlottetown Little Theatre Guild, a Fellow and Legacy Club Member of the PEI Division of the Canadian Red Cross, Coordinator of the Charlottetown Blood Donor Clinics, the PEI Tuberculosis League, the Canadian Club of Charlottetown, the Community Concert Association, the St. Dunstan's Basilica Pastoral Council, Meals on Wheels and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Equipment Fund.
