Premier MacLauchlan expresses appreciation to RCMP, provincial security officials

Premier Wade MacLauchlan expressed his appreciation to RCMP and provincial security officials following criminal charges being laid in relation to alleged threats.

The premier also noted his confidence in the justice system and its ability to consider factors such as psychiatric assessments and to ensure an appropriate response from the court.

The premier acknowledged the messages he has received from Islanders, saying “I am thankful for the support shown to me; this is an unfortunate incident for everyone involved.”
