Premier Ghiz Announces Changes to Office Structure

Premier's Office
Allan Campbell has agreed to take on the Premier’s Chief of Staff position, Premier Robert Ghiz announced today.

“Allan is a very capable man – and I am looking forward to working closely with him over the next number of years,” the Premier said. “His new position will be highly challenging, and I know that he will bring his customary good judgement to his new responsibilities.”

Mr. Campbell will replace outgoing Chief of Staff Chris LeClair.

“Mr. LeClair helped lead the Liberal Party to successive electoral victories. He has been an invaluable asset – and it is with great regret that I announce Chris's decision to seek other opportunities,” the Premier said.

“Mr. LeClair has done an admirable job in the most senior and challenging position in the Prince Edward Island Government – and his abilities will be missed. Chris has a very young family, and I perfectly understand his need to spend more time with them after eight years of service.”

“I have very much enjoyed my time working in both the Premier’s Office and the Opposition Office,” Mr. LeClair said. “It has been highly challenging and rewarding – and now is the time to pursue other interests.”
