Premier Comments On Dr. Dickieson

Premier Pat Binns today issued the following statement on Dr. Herb Dickieson's intention to resign as Leader of the Prince Edward Island New Democratic Party.

"On behalf of all Government Members, I wish Dr. Dickieson well in the future. Having served in the Legislative Assembly with Dr. Dickieson, I know first hand of his dedicated commitment to public service, and in particular to the people of West Prince. While I will miss Dr. Dickieson's active involvement in the political life of the province, I hope he will find more time to spend with family and friends. I do look forward to his continued contribution to the quality of life in West Prince as a family physician."
