November 25, 1998 * Agriculture and Forestry [to Oct 2003]The Department of Agriculture and Forestry's plant diagnostic service is still available to producers. Due to the extended length of the potato season, the Plant Diagnostic Laboratory, located at Potato Services in Kensington, will be open as long as demand warrants. Early detection of a disease problem in storage, coupled with appropriate management procedures, can save an entire pile. Producers can submit questionable tuber samples to local district offices or directly to the Kensington lab. The service is available, free of charge, to producers throughout the growing season.
