The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is once again offering a plant diagnostic service for agricultural producers and industry representatives.
‘Plant disease identification is of prime importance to potato farmers and other horticultural producers,' says Marleen Clark of the department's Plant Health Services section.
‘The use of this service will take the guess work out of problem solving,' says Clark. ‘It is always important to investigate production problems so as to prevent them from reoccurring,' she said.
Samples may be submitted directly to the provincial potato services laboratory in Kensington or through the district agricultural offices.
