The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015:
• Gasoline prices will decrease by 3.0 cents per litre (cpl);
• There will be no change in furnace, stove oil or diesel prices; and
• Propane prices will increase by 6.4 cpl for Superior Propane, by 4.0 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing and by 3.8 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc.
Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 100.7 cpl to 101.8 cpl. Maximum before tax propane prices will now range from 67.3 cpl to 68.7 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to amount to 74.9 cpl, plus tax.
Reductions observed in the wholesale price of gasoline over the past two weeks now enable the price reduction in gasoline announced today.
The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on October 15, 2015.
