Petroleum pricing

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015:

• Gasoline prices will increase by 1.0 cent per litre (cpl);

• Furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 4.0 (cpl);

• Diesel prices will increase by 6.0 cpl and

• There will be no change in propane prices at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 104.1 cpl to 105.2 cpl.

The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 74.9 cpl plus tax.

Significant increases in the wholesale price of all petroleum products over the past two weeks, and, in particular, furnace oil and diesel, have necessitated the price adjustments announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on October 1, 2015.
