The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014:
• Gasoline prices will decrease by 5.5 cents per litre (cpl);
• Furnace and stove oil prices will decrease by 2.0 cpl;
• Diesel prices will decrease by 5.5 cpl; and
• There will be no change in propane prices at this time.
Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 107.5 cpl to 108.6 cpl.
The maximum price for furnace oil will now amount to 94.3 cpl plus tax.
Significant decreases in the wholesale price of all three petroleum products observed over the past week now afford the opportunity for this unscheduled price adjustment.
With this early change, the next adjustment scheduled for December 15th, 2014 will now be rescheduled until one week from today on December 16th, 2014.
