Petroleum Pricing

The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2011:

• Gasoline prices will decrease by 2.3 cents per litre (cpl);

• Diesel prices will decrease by 1.2 cpl; and

• There will be no change in furnace, stove oil or propane prices at this time.

Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 120.6 cpl to 122.7 cpl. The maximum price for furnace oil will continue to be 99.9 cpl.

Decreases in wholesale market prices since the Commission’s last adjustment allow the petroleum product price decreases announced today.

The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on October 1, 2011.
