The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following petroleum pricing decisions, effective 12:01 a.m., Wednesday June 15, 2011:
• Gasoline prices will decrease by 2.5 cents per litre (cpl);
• Diesel prices will increase by 4.5 cpl;
• Furnace and stove oil prices will increase by 3.0 cpl and;
• There will be no change in propane prices at this time.
Including adjustments for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets will now range from 120.2 cpl to 122.3 cpl.
While the wholesale price of gasoline has fallen over the past two weeks, significant increases in the wholesale price of furnace oil and diesel observed since June 1 now necessitate the price adjustments announced today.
The Commission's next scheduled price adjustment will be on July 1, 2011.
