Miles and Bonnie Glasman of Russel, Manitoba, a husband-wife team took on the sizable task of placing the Beef cattle classes at the 2001 Maritime Fall Fair held in Halifax. They worked together smoothly to sort out the top cattle and ultimately chose a resounding eighteen champions from Prince Edward Island. Almost all the Beef Show Premier Breeder and Exhibitor titles came to the Island as well.

The Glasmans were impressed with the overall quality and praised exhibitors for the depth of quality shown throughout the classes. They told breeders they should be proud of themselves and that good things were happening here in the Maritimes.
