P.E.I. Grain Elevators Corporation announces staffing changes

Dave Thompson, President of the Board of Directors of the P.E.I. Grain Elevators Corporation (GEC), has announced a number of staffing changes at two of its three elevator locations.

In Kensington, Wade Waddell has been appointed Plant Supervisor, with overall responsibility for staffing and the day-to-day operation of the elevator and related facilities.

Neil Campbell will assume major responsibility for purchases, sales and risk management for all crops in which the corporation deals. He will split his time between the Kensington elevator and the administrative office of GEC, located in the Potato Services Building, 7 McCarville Drive, Kensington.

In Roseneath, Joseph Vandenberghe has been appointed as Plant Supervisor, replacing Joseph Leck, who resigned in March 2011 to take over the operation of the family dairy farm located in Nova Scotia.

Don McCarthy, veteran manager of the Elmsdale facility, continues in his managerial role of that facility.

In other news, President Dave Thompson also announced that Gerald MacIsaac of Coleman joins Clayton Bulpitt, Tracey MacEwen, Donald Pickering, Gary Robinson and Robert Mulligan on the P.E.I. Grain Elevators Corporation board of directors.
