Nordic sites now open at provincial parks

Islanders are encouraged to enjoy the Nordic skiing trails offered at two provincial parks as a great way to get active and enjoy the beauty of Prince Edward Island, says Tourism and Culture Minister Robert Henderson.

“Our provincial parks offer Islanders and visitors a variety of fun activities to enjoy in all seasons,” said the minister. “Nordic skiing is a great way to enjoy the winter with family and friends.”

The Brookvale Nordic site has 10 kilometres of trail groomed and open to skiers. Additional sections will be groomed as weather and trail conditions permit. The tobogganing hill is also open.

All three of the trails at Mill River Provincial Park are groomed and open for skiers. The on-site skating rink and tobogganing hill are also open.

Equipment can be rented at both sites.
