New Vital Statistics website launched

Islanders now have easier access to information about major life events thanks to a new Vital Statistics website, says Director of Vital Statistics Laura Lee Noonan.

“When a significant milestone happens in your life like a birth or marriage, it’s important to know what to do and who to contact to ensure these events are recorded. It’s also helpful to provide guidance to the public on the safekeeping and storage of these records, and I’m glad to see a section on the website for protecting your identity,” said the Director.

The Vital Statistics website serves as a focal point for people who are looking to apply for services such as birth, marriage and death certificates. Information on how to access these services is provided as well as answers to the public’s most frequent questions on vital event registrations.

The new site can be accessed at www.gov.pe.ca/vitalstatistics.
