Brookvale Winter Activity Park is now boasting a new fleet of alpine rental equipment including skis, bindings, boots, snowboards, poles and snow skates available for customers when the snow finally does fly! Provincial Parks upgrade to the equipment provides one of the most modern rental fleets in Atlantic Canada. The Hill is set to open with limited runs available, Saturday, January 10 at 10:00 a.m., with the recent snow and cold weather to keep it here for a while.

The older equipment has moved on to make way for this new line of equipment providing renters with products that are state of the art and allows the customer to have a much more enjoyable and safe ski experience.

“We are really pleased to be able to provide visitors to the Park such great equipment choices,” noted Philip Brown, Minister of Tourism. “The rental equipment previous to this purchase was starting to show its age and the overhaul allows us to give our customers the best experience possible.”

The purchase represents one of the largest investments ever in Brookvale by P.E.I. Provincial Parks and includes high-end brands such as Head skis, snowboards, and snow skates and Tyrollia bindings, poles and boots in the alpine rental inventory. The nordic centre has also added new skis, boots, and poles to their rental stock list.

Minister Brown added, “Staff at the Park has been anxiously awaiting an extended cold snap and snow fall and has attempted to create their own snow but the weather this year has hampered their efforts. With any luck, this colder winter weather will stay with us for some time and business will be booming with happy customers trying out the new alpine and nordic equipment.”
