Honourable Michael Currie, Minister of Transportation & Public Works, announced today that the second design of the two new license plates announced last month is now available.
This plate includes the wording Province House - Birth Place of Confederation, and depicts a shaded picture of the House, the Prince Edward Island workmark, the Canadian flag, and a plate number. They are now available for sale to the public at all Highway Safety Branch offices throughout the Province.
Mr. Currie said, "it is evident from the tremendous response to the launching of the Confederation Bridge plate - 5000 in just over a month - that Islanders welcome the idea of choice. The introduction of the Province House plate will provide another option."
Plates can be purchased for $5.00 when replacing an existing registered plate.
For the public looking to conduct business in the Charlottetown Branch, all are reminded that this office has relocated to the Ian MacLeod building on Riverside Drive.
