New permanent front entrance and lobby at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital operational

The public is advised that, effective Wednesday, December 21 at 7 a.m., the new permanent front entrance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be open to ensure ongoing access to the hospital. The current temporary entrance will no longer be accessible as it must undergo construction and renovations as part of the expansion of the new front lobby area.

Amenities such as the Royal Pantry, Lillibet’s Gift Shop and Crema Coffee will eventually be relocated to temporary areas within the new lobby while their permanent homes undergo construction.

Construction continues on the New Ambulatory Care Centre. The new Centre will open in the spring of 2012, at which time ambulatory care related services will be relocated to the new Centre. Until that time, services remain operational in their existing locations throughout the hospital.
