Advance Poll for the February 10, 2003 Municipal By-Election in the Town of Cornwall will be held at the Cornwall Civic Centre, 29 Cornwall Road. Advance Poll hours: Monday, February 3 to Saturday, February 8 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Elections will be held in the open ward for two councillors and the following four candidates have been nominated: Richard "Rick" Caron of 73 TransCanada Highway, Ann Doucette of 2 Kristan Lane, Denis Dunne of 22 Allison Avenue, and Minerva McCourt of 510 TransCanada Highway.
Chief Electoral Officer Merrill Wigginton said that, "If any elector was not enumerated or did not register with the Returning Officer during the period of voter registration, his or her name will not be on the Official List of Electors. Furthermore, any eligible elector whose name does not appear on the Official List of Electors will not be able to vote at an Advance Poll; however, he or she may still vote in the open ward on Election Day February 10, 2003, by appearing at the polling station within the open ward and swearing an oath of eligibility to vote."
