Montague intersection to be detoured beginning Thursday

Beginning Thursday, October 21, and for the following week depending on weather, the intersection of route 315, Wood Island’s Road, and route 326, Valleyfield Road, will be closed to traffic. The closure is necessary to complete work on the re-design of the intersection.

Given the location of the intersection, several alternate routes will be set up to guide motorists around the construction site. Drivers should be mindful of detour signs and are encouraged to use local knowledge to navigate around the site. Traffic control personnel will be on site and will have maps available to help motorists who are having difficulty with the alternate routes.

The intersection will re-open to traffic once crews complete this phase of the project. An additional short closure is expected in about ten days.

The project is expected to be complete near the end of October, depending on weather.
