August 26, 2009 * Fisheries, Aquaculture and Rural Development [to May 2015]Fisheries, Aquaculture and Rural Development Minister Neil LeClair today expressed sympathies to the family of the late Russell Dockendorff, Sr. who died earlier this week. “Mr. Dockendorff will long be remembered for his tremendous contributions as a pioneer and leader in the aquaculture industry,” said Minister LeClair. “Staff of my department had a lengthy and productive relationship with Mr. Dockendorff, and I want to pay tribute to his vision and dedication.” Minister LeClair said the aquaculture industry will miss his spirit of innovation and his many achievements on behalf of the industry. “We have lost a remarkable Islander,” said Minister LeClair. “He will be greatly missed, especially by his family, and I want to extend my sympathies to them at this time of sorrow.” Media Contact: Wayne MacKinnon
