Minister Bertram Expresses Condolences on Death of Frank Ledwell

Statement by Hon. Carolyn Bertram, Minister of Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour:

“It is with deep sadness that I acknowledge the death of former Poet Laureate Frank Ledwell. Frank was a tireless supporter of, and contributor to, the literary arts and an inspiration to countless new writers. His achievements, which include the Order of Prince Edward Island and the Council of the Arts Outstanding Contribution to the Literary Arts, recognize his many contributions to our province. Frank’s commitment to his family and community was an example to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. On behalf of the provincial government, I extend sincere condolences to Frank’s wife Carolyn, their children, grandchildren, and his brother and sister.
