Minister Announces That Long-Term Care Beds Will Remain Open at Andrews of Summerside

Minister of Health and Wellness, Carolyn Bertram, is pleased to announce that Andrews of Summerside has agreed to continue to provide services to their long-term care residents.

“The health and security of these patients has been government’s number one priority since this issue arose,” said Minister Bertram. “We are pleased to announce that Andrews of Summerside has agreed to fulfill their obligations to Government and these residents.”

Earlier today Keith O’Neill, President of Andrews of PEI, informed long-term care residents and their families that Andrews of Summerside will continue to provide them with their necessary services.

“Our main focus continues to be providing excellence in seniors’ care, and Andrews of Summerside remains committed to the care of our current long-term residents,” said Mr. O’Neill. “We will continue to fulfill our commitment and obligation to our current long-term care residents without disruption.”
