Lounge license suspended for Pat & Willy's

The Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has suspended the lounge liquor license, license number LL910008, for the premises known as “Pat & Willy’s” located at 119 Kent Street, Charlottetown, for the following period of time, that is:

for a period of two (2) days each for violation of Sections 26.(b), 70.(d) and 78 of the Liquor Control Act Regulations said suspensions to be served consecutively for a total cumulative suspension of six (6) days commencing 11 a.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, up to and including 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010.

The Commission was satisfied that violations of the Liquor Control Act Regulations took place under the following sections:

Section 26.(b)

“Subject to the Act and orders of the Commission, a licensee may serve liquor in the licensed premises of a lounge on Sunday, between the hours of noon and midnight.”

Section 70.(d)

“A licensee shall not permit any person to consume liquor while on duty or during his working hours.”

Section 78.

“All licensed premises shall be vacated not later than one half-hour after the prescribed closing hour.”

This suspension does not affect the operation of the dining room at Pat & Willy’s which may continue to observe its normal hours of operation during this period.
